Aurora Area Retired Teachers Association (AARTA) will resume in-person meetings Tuesday, April 5.

Dick Schindel, AARTA president, said the meeting will open at 11:30 a.m. with lunch at Gaslite Manor, 2485 Church Road in Aurora. In-person meetings had been suspended due to pandemic precautions.

Aurora-area retired teachers are invited. Parking is free. Lunch is $20.

Lisa Manning of Aurora Yoga Center will demonstrate chair yoga exercises. New books will be collected for distribution through Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry and Aurora Area Interfaith Food Pantry, both in Aurora.

Founded in 1958, AARTA includes approximately 365 members formerly from Aurora area schools. Membership is open to retired teachers, administrators, support staff members, and their spouses.

AARTA holds luncheon meetings at 11:30 a.m. the first Tuesday of February, April, June, October, and December, at Gaslite Manor.
