Located at the southwest corner of Bilter Road and Eola Road, the $500 million, carbo-neutral Aurora Tech Park campus will consist of three speculative buildings across 65 acres that will be constructed in three phases, with the first building of the new campus scheduled for completion in June 2024.

The project will offer sustainable features, including advanced waterless cooling technology, 100 MW of power, and ultra-efficient energy systems.

“As we break ground for the new Aurora Tech Park, we are amplifying Aurora’s commitment to technology and innovation,” said Aurora mayor Richard Irvin. “With the addition of the new Aurora Tech Park campus, the new “tech corridor of Aurora” is expanding and will continue to be a magnet for other developments in the future.”

The development site is just across Interstate 88 from the intersection of Eola and Diehl roads that includes Cyrus One, home to data from the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and Scientel Solutions, a wireless telecommunications and systems integration company.

The campus will generate between 40 to 60 high-tech full-time jobs, roughly 2,000 construction jobs, $800,000 in annual real estate taxes, and $3.4 million in yearly utility taxes for the city.

While developers won’t say specifically just yet which company will anchor the campus, it will be either Apple, Google, Microsoft, or Amazon.
