Aurora police chief Keith Cross outlines his top priorities August 10 at the monthly meeting of Citizens Police Academy Alumni of Aurora (CPAAA) at Aurora Police Department (APD) headquarters. The next day, Cross was sworn in as chief at his alma mater, East Aurora High School. Cross told CPAAA members his priorities are recruiting, training, professionalism, community engagement and technology. CPAAA is a volunteer nonprofit that promotes and enhances the relationship between the community and the APD activities include continuing law enforcement education of members and the community, in support of and promoting special projects that strengthen services provided by the APD and assisting the Department in specific projects.Al Benson/The Voice
