The Aurora Public Library added public computer appointments to their services as of Monday, June 15. Public computers will be available by appointment Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Santori Library, Eola Road Branch, and West Branch. To make an appointment please call 630-264-4117.

Public computer appointments will allow customers to schedule one 60-minute appointment from home, visit the library in a secure manner, and use a computer for essential work. Appointments are required and customers can reserve up to one week in advance, but no sooner than 24 hours in advance. Same day reservations or walk-ins will not be allowed to ensure the safety of customers and staff members. A library card is not required to make a reservation. For more information visit aurorapubliclibrary.org/curbside.

Executive director, Michaela Haberkern said, “As we planned for this next phase, we continued to prioritize staff and customer safety while recognizing the need our community has for computer and internet access. Security measures implemented during this phase include re-organizing computers to be socially-distanced to at least six feet apart, providing computer assistance through remote access, and installing glass dividers at staff member desks. We’re happy to be providing this service in hopes it helps our customers whether it’s to complete the census, apply for a job, or find coronavirus crisis assistance.”

Printing services are available without a computer appointment and in a contactless manner. Wireless printing is available for drive up and curbside pickup. Customers can send an E-mail to printrequests@aurorapubliclibrary.org with the attached document and a phone number. Once the document is printed, a staff member will contact the customer to setup a drive-up or curbside pickup.

Customers can continue to use the Library from home by attending our virtual programs, exploring resources through aurorapubliclibrary.org/at-home, or calling with reference questions.
