The Aurora Public Library (APL) will hold three community meetings to inform the public about plans for 2020 and beyond, including a levy increase proposal.
Meetings have been set for 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13 at Santori Library; Thursday, Nov. 14 at West Branch; and at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16 at Eola Road Branch.
The meetings’ goal is to present information and to hear community feedback about the Library’s plans for 2020 and beyond. Staff members and the Library’s municipal advisor will provide a brief presentation followed by a question and answer session.
Executive director Michaela Haberkern said, “Our work with Meristem Advisors this Fall has made the need for a financial roadmap very clear. The plan we’ve developed addresses needs we’ve already identified from community input, including the need for more materials and for improvements at the branches. We are excited to share our ideas for the future with the public.”
