With another round of sub-zero temperatures blanketing the area, Aurora’s 24-hour Warming Center has been reopened around-the-clock through the morning on Tuesday, January 11, for those in need of warm shelter.
The warming center is located at the Aurora Transportation Center, 233 N. Broadway.

All guests must take a Covid-19 health screening, wear masks, and remain socially distanced from other visitors. The spacious facility has accessible bathrooms, hand sanitizing stations, social-distancing signage, and vending machines. The City will provide water and snacks for visitors.

City staff or security guards will be onsite at all times.   Visitors to the nearby Hesed House have been notified of the 24-hour option.   The City’s emergency 24-hour warming center is activated based on temperature thresholds.
