Aurora to reopen overnight warming center for a week, beginning Sunday night

With the forecasted frigid weather over the next week, the City of Aurora will activate its centrally-located overnight temporary warming center for one week to provide a safe, warm space for those in need.
The Aurora Transportation Center, 233 N. Broadway, will open as a warming center each night from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., from the evening of Sunday, January 29 through the morning of Sunday, February 5, 2023.
Staff and security guards will be onsite at all times.

Visitors to the nearby Hesed House daytime warming center have been notified of the overnight option.

The overnight warming center is activated based on temperature thresholds.
