The Woman’s Club of Aurora will close this club season at noon, Tuesday, May 8 at Belle Salle Banquets, 1920 East New York, Aurora. Mary Vaughn, former agent with the FBI, will present the program “Women In the FBI”. A Summer art scholarship to Eastern Illinois University, Charleston, will be presented to Bianca Quintanilla. East Aurora High School art instructor, Susan McCarran will attend and assist in setting up Bianca’s artwork for display.
Past Club presidents, Martha Bein, Rosemary Hauser, Barbara Penner, Peg Steinhebel, and Dorothy Sullivan will be honored. Messages will be given from those presidents unable to be present, Esther Amos, Dorothy Ellis, and Jean Haselhorst. Twenty-five-year membership pins will be presented to Freda Wallace and Betty Washburn.
Club president, Judy Pessetti, will close the meeting with the installation of 2018-2020 officers using a heart theme. Those being installed are president, Cathy Martin; first vice president, Cindy Gustafson; second vice president, Dawn Magana; secretary, Joanne Lee and treasurer, Rosemary Hauser.
