The Diabetes Club of Fox Valley will hold its November membership meeting Thursday, Nov. 2, at the historic Gray’s Mill Estate, 211 N. River Street, in Montgomery.
Meetings are held in the Third Floor Banquet Room. Dinner is on members’ own from the menu at 5:30 p.m. and meeting begins at 6:30 p.m.. Guests are always welcome!
The guest speaker for this month’s meeting will be from Kendall County’s Health Department, 811 John Street, in Yorkville.
- November is National Diabetes Awareness Month. The members of the Diabetes Club of Fox Valley want to remind everyone to be aware of the dangers of unchecked diabetes, and to take time yearly to be checked for diabetic or pre-diabetic.
- The Diabetes Club of Fox Valley will kick off National Diabetes Awareness Month with a Meet and Greet event, Saturday, Nov. 4, beginning at 8:30 a.m., in downtown Aurora, at Society 57, 100 S. River Street.
- If you’re an ice hockey fan, you’ll enjoy attending the Diabetes Club of Fox Valley’s “Make a Goal to Fight Diabetes”, Chicago Steel hockey game Saturday, Nov. 18, at the Fox Valley Ice Arena, Kirk Road, in Geneva. - The Diabetes Club of Fox Valley is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, a true grassroots organization, where all money raised through dues, donations, and fundraising, is used locally for the Club’s fight against diabetes.
- Giving Tuesday, the annual celebration of generosity, will happen November 28. Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: A day that encourages people to do good. A day when the whole world comes together to give back in many different ways: Through acts of kindness, gifts of voice, time, talent, or treasure. Please plan on putting the Diabetes Club of Fox Valley on your Giving Tuesday donation list.
