The Batavia Chamber of Commerce celebrates the opening of Batavia Chamber member European Chef To The Rescue with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Monday, Jan. 9. The event was held in the lobby of the Batavia Chamber’s office, 106 W. Wilson Street in Batavia.
Batavia Mayor Jeffery Schielke presided over the celebration, along with the owners, Chef Mark Low and his wife Donna Low, along with two of their three children, Gina and Anthony. Among the well-wishers were Batavia Chamber President and CEO Margaret Perreault; Patti Anselme, special events coordinator; and Shirley Mott, chamber communications and membership coordinator. Also present were Batavia Chamber board president Jamie Saam, and Anthony Isom, Batavia economic development manager, along with chamber ambassadors, fellow business owners and friends.
European Chef To The Rescue is a catering firm that works out of a commercial kitchen in Oswego and brings a taste of Europe to the Fox Valley. A native of England, Chef Mark Low worked on the “Love Boat” for Princess Cruises at one point in his career. He was also the chef at The Holmstad in Batavia prior to moving to Florida. He now resides in the Fox Valley and caters events, both large and small, including weddings, corporate events, birthdays and home parties. He will also create party trays and boxed lunches.
