Sam Conger of Batavia High School, second from right, captures the 110-high hurdles State championship in :14.02 Saturday in Charleston at Eastern Illinois University. He took eighth place in the 300 intermediate hurdles. Batavia finished in a tie for 15th place with Kaneland and Collinsville.
