A habitat restoration work day will be held at Bliss Woods Forest Preserve from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 27. Cutting and stacking invasive brush will be the main tasks. Tools are provided but participants should feel free to bring their favorite loppers and hand-cutters. If conditions allow, old brush piles will be burned. Best to wear clothing made of natural materials.

Bliss Woods is a beautiful, high-quality, woodland host to many rare and unusual plants. Removing invasive species will help sustain its unique nature.

We will meet in the main parking lot off of Bliss Road in Sugar Grove.

Refreshments will be available at the break. Anyone under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. For further information please send Email to Mary Ochsenschlager at maryoxie@sbcglobal.net, or call Robb at the Kane County Forest Preserve at 630 232-5980.
