• Knit and Crochet Group, Thursdays, 10 a.m. to noon.
This informal group works on their own projects, discusses types and colors of yarns, and helps each other with new or tricky patterns. No registration required.
• Wednesday Night Book Group, Wednesday, July 18, 7 p.m. to 8 p.m..
Attendees can get together with other readers for an interesting discussion of Swans of Fifth Avenue by Melanie Benjamin. The book for August, Camino Island by John Grisham, will be available at the Check-Out Desk.

The Illinois State Treasurer’s Office connects individuals with their cash and other assets through the I-Cash Program. Stop by the Library to meet with a representative. No registration required.
Kids events
• Teen Movie, Monday, July 16, 1 p.m. to 3:15 p.m., Black Panther
Free movie targeted to teens, but open to all ages. T’Challa returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to take his place as King. However, a conflict puts the entire fate of Wakanda and the world at risk. Rated PG-13.
• Abe Lincoln’s Hat, Wednesday, July 18, 2 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., or, 6:30 p.m. to 7 p.m..
Stephen L. Krentz will share a story about Abraham Lincoln and talk about the personality and adventures of president Lincoln. Attendees will have chance to talk to Judge Krentz about history, law, and reading. For independent students entering grades 1-6. Registration required.
