Thursday, Aurora Downtown and Wyckwood House will be host to Boss Babes for a special St. Patrick’s happy hour event from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Wyckwood House, 14 W. Downer Place in downtown Aurora.
Shannon Gutierrez, owner of Wyckwood House, and Marissa Amoni, manager of Aurora Downtown, started Boss Babes in 2019 at Wyckwood House. The event has evolved from weekly to monthly, but the support and empowerment of women remains the same, Amoni said.
“Shannon and I are so excited to host Boss Babes at Wyckwood House before they move to their new location on River Street this Spring,” Amoni said. She added that they recently were hosts the event at women-owned businesses in Aurora, including French 75 Gallery and Lounge and Dance Fuze Studio.
“It’s an opportunity for busy women to socialize and connect with other local women,” Amoni said.
This month’s Boss Babes will feature small businesses McCarty Mills Taproom and Chi-cuterie.
Boss Babes who wear green will receive $5 off their Wyckwood House purchase over $35. Coupon applies to Wyckwood House goods only.
