Cantigny Park’s 65th Summer will offer adult-oriented fun nights every Thursday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. starting June 8. The “Summer Nights” series will feature drinks, music, and entertainment with a different main event or theme every week.

“Thursdays are about to be the new Friday at Cantigny,” said Matt LaFond, Cantigny Park executive director. “We want to entice guests to start their weekends a little early and show them how enchanting the Park can be on a Summer evening.”

Thanks to new lighting and upgraded pathways throughout the park, after-hours attractions are proliferating on Cantigny’s event calendar. Besides Summer Nights on Thursdays, Cantigny is rolling out Family Nights on Wednesdays (June 14, July 19, and August 16), and Moonlit Movies every Friday beginning June 2.

New for 2023, Cantigny will stay open until 10 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday, all Summer long.

A diverse lineup of Summer Nights programming is set for June.

  • Thursday, June 8, Vintage Night with Shout Section Big Band

Enjoy classic swing tunes in the Tank Park as Cantigny commemorates the anniversary of the U.S. Army’s 1st Infantry Division, the “Big Red One.” Capture your best vintage look at a 1940s-themed photo station starring a World War II-era military vehicle.

  • Thursday, June 15, Bark in the Park

Stroll through the gardens with your pup and visit photo stations and caricature artists. Every dog gets a free bandana, and the first 50 receive a treat from “Fido to Go,” a gourmutt food truck!

  • Thursday, June 22, Pride Picnic

Cantigny invites members of the LGBTQ+ community and supporters to celebrate Pride month at the park. Picnic on the beautiful McCormick Allée and enter a queer film trivia contest for fun and prizes!

  • Thursday, June 29, Magical Night in the Gardens

Six amazing magicians stationed throughout the Cantigny gardens will perform card tricks, slight-of-hand, and close-up magic. Preview the line-up of top-shelf talent at Cantigny.org.

Every edition of Summer Nights includes a delicious specialty cocktail to complement the evening’s main event or theme. Beer and wine will be available, too, plus a variety of favorite food trucks. Guests may bring their own picnics but not alcoholic beverages.

Tickets for Summer Nights are on sale now at Cantigny.org. Adults are $15 per person, seniors $12, and ages 15 and under free. Parking is included with ticket purchase, and all sales are final.

Cantigny Park will be open only to ticket holders on Thursdays after 4 p.m., with Summer Nights activities beginning at 6 p.m..
