She said she will use her $1,500 scholarship to pursue studies in nursing.

Cynthia Latimer of Aurora gives remarks Tuesday, April 2 at the Aurora Area Retired Teachers Association April luncheon for being appointed to the Illinois State Board of Education recently. She is among nine board members. Latimer served more than 33 years in classroom and administrative positions in both East Aurora and West Aurora school districts.
