Poem: Christmas Magic

This is, of course, my Christmas wish to all of you;
May you find peace and happiness in all you do.
There is a matter though I’d like to talk about,
But I must warn you—don’t come into this with doubt.
Do you believe in miracles? I think you should.
We’ve had two thousand constant years of something good.
I do not mean to question; and it’s not a quiz.
We all know just how fickle human nature is.
But here we are, in a pandemic, life is rough;
But, look around, we all exhibit the right stuff
You hear: “But this is Christmas. Nothing changes that!
And if you try to argue, this they’ll tell you flat!
So, maybe…Oh, just maybe…there’s hope for this human race!
Okay, let’s start the ball rolling; this time, this place!
