City of Aurora government continues financial support of small businesses, grants

The City of Aurora government continues its efforts to financially support small businesses in the community as they still are on the path to full recovery from the pandemic.

A second round of grant funding is now open, with $700,000 available in the City’s Finish Line Grant and Re-Start Retention Grant programs.

• The Finish Line Grant program assists property owners and tenants in completing rehabilitation projects that will enhance the economic viability of Aurora.

• The Re-Start Retention Grant program assists small businesses with operational and business expenses to prevent business closures and the loss of jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The deadline to apply is Monday, April 3.

Last Fall, the first round of grant funding provided nearly $750,000 to almost 75 small businesses in Aurora.
