Edie Johnson, manager of a mobile home park near the intersection of Montgomery Road and Douglas Avenue, expresses concern at the Montgomery Village Board meeting, Monday. She stated the recent death from a pedestrian vs. car accident is the second death of a resident from the mobile home park. She said there aren’t sidewalks on the side of the road and creates difficulty for residents who walk, ride bikes, and ride electric scooters. Village president Matt Brolley said a member of the staff would be in touch to discuss the matter.

• Approved was a 5.5% rate annual increase per 1,000 gallons through fiscal year 2033 effective with the August 1, 2019 Montgomery water bill, then a two percent annual increase. The Board is planning to address future water supply concerns as the aquifers the Village draws from has decreasing levels. President Brolley said even with the rate increase, water rates are still less than surrounding municipalities.
