Cosmo Club of Aurora host to Race Awareness Night

The Cosmopolitan Club of Aurora will be host to the Race to Fight Diabetes Awareness Night at Sycamore Speedway, Route 64, Maple Park, Saturday, Aug. 6.

We invite the community to join us for an exciting evening of competitive dirt track racing, on the Midwest’s finest clay track.

Included for those attending could be a stop at the Cosmo Club’s Tent to sign up for free door-prize drawings, information on Diabetes, make a donation, or purchase 50/50 cash raffle tickets. Last year’s winner received $900..

Concession stand and gates will open at 6 p.m. and racing will begin at approximately 7:30 p.m..

The Cosmos raise funds for diabetes research at UChicago Medicine-Kovler Diabetes Center, ADA educational Summer camps for type 1 diabetic children, diabetes education and wellness at Rush Copley Diabetes Educational Center, and Ascension Mercy Diabetes and Nutrition Care Center, along with assisting diabetics in obtaining diabetic alert dogs through our Jerry Youngren Diabetic Alert Dog Memorial Fund.
