Cosmo Club of Aurora offers food, photos

First Fridays in Aurora is open to any organization which wants to participate, and, thereby increase visibility for visitors to the events in the Downtown area.

The Cosmopolitan Club of Aurora will hold a fundraiser from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, June 7 at SciTech Hands On Museum, 18 W. Benton Street near Stolp Avenue.

There are many venues which are host to events, usually more than 20 sites in First Fridays each month, except for January and July.

The fundraiser will offer photos with race car drivers Jimmy Klingel and Matt McCain next to their cars.

A food menu will include prime rib sandwiches, hot dogs, bratwurst, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, all with condiments, chips, choice of soda or water. Drive through will be available or settings inside SciTech. The food is supplied and prepared by Reuland Food Service & Delicatessen of Aurora.

Tickets may be purchased at SciTech Hands On Museum, KCT Credit Union, Cosmopolitan Club members, at the door, or, by telephone at 630-205-9065.

The specific menu includes: Quarter-pound bratwurst for $8; prime rib sandwich, $12; one-sixth hot dog, $7 and hamburger/cheeseburger each $10.

The Cosmopolitan Club of Aurora is a part of Cosmopolitan International which lives by Unity, Service, Action. Cosmopolitan Clubs seek to reduce diabetes and help find cures and offer services for those who suffer from the disease.
