George Pappas, owner of the Oak Street Restaurant in North Aurora, presents a check for $1,550.00 to Russ George, president of the Cosmopolitan Club of Aurora. The check represents the proceeds from the Annual Oak Street Restaurant Golf Outing, held September 14. The proceeds are designated for the Cosmopolitan Club of Aurora’s diabetic causes, which include diabetes research at the University of Chicago-Kovler Diabetes Center, ADA Summer Camps for Diabetic Children, diabetes education at the Rush-Copley Diabetes Educational Center, and assisting diabetics in obtaining Diabetic Alert Dogs (DADs).
