Building upon the restaurant revival happening in Aurora’s City of Lights, Craft Urban, a popular eatery in Geneva, plans to open its second location in downtown Aurora.

Craft Urban Cocktail is a contemporary urban neighborhood restaurant that will be at 41 S. Stolp Avenue at the corner northwest corner of Stolp Avenue, and Downer Place, across the street from Charlie’s Ice Creamery to bring the old Assell Building back to life!

The plan includes:

• Ground level will be the Craft Urban restaurant, a 2,800 square-foot, 100-seat dining room accented with rustic brick. The bar/kitchen area will have 10 seats with a custom-made communal table, cocktail tables, and inviting banquet-style seating

• Outdoor seating will be available in the vacant lot next to the building which will be redeveloped as a recreational area where artists can perform.

• Top level will occupy four 700 square-foot one-bedroom contemporary apartments that would rent for approximately $900 each.

Craft Urban creator and owner Chef Bernie Laskowski, who lives in Aurora, brings more than 25 years of experience to the project.
