The Diabetes Club of Fox Valley will celebrate its first full year of service to the Fox Valley area at the regularly-scheduled membership meeting, Thursday, Oct. 12, at the historic Gray’s Mill Estate, 211 N. River Street, in Montgomery.
Meeting and dinner will be held in the third-floor banquet room. Dinner is on participants’ own off the menu at 5:30 p.m. and the meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. Guests are always welcome!
The first official meeting of the newly-formed club was held Thursday, Oct. 13, 2022, with 15 dedicated founding members in attendance, who wanted to bring about an awareness of diabetes, provide aid and education for diabetics, along with investing in research, to find a cure!
Today, we are 50 members strong, having raised thousands of dollars for diabetes research, education, awareness and aid for diabetics. The members have held fundraisers along with participating in several awareness events throughout the Fox Valley area. Thanks to the help from the Aurora Lions Club, we made a $2,000 donation to the UChicago Medicine-Kovler Diabetes Center, for diabetes research, to find a cure.
The Diabetes Club of Fox Valley’s successful first year would not have been possible without the help of it’s dedicated members….guest speakers….individuals, businesses, and organizations, who supported us with donations and/or gifts….everyone who purchased our tickets and/or attended our events….The Voice for spreading our message….We thank you, for helping us in our fight against diabetes!

The Diabetes Club of Fox Valley was established with a mission to support efforts to prevent and find a cure for diabetes. Our purpose is to raise funds to aid those who work in research and /or education regarding diabetes, and to assist those with diabetes in any way we can. Our vision is to have a world free of diabetes.
The Diabetes Club of Fox Valley is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization, a true grassroots organization, where all money raised through dues, donations, and fundraising, is used locally for the Club’s fight against diabetes. We are not members of any national or international organization, money raised here, stays here!
