The Diabetes Club of Fox Valley is looking for individuals to help focus an awareness of diabetes. The Club will be participating in several events throughout the Summer months in the Fox Valley area, reminding everyone to be aware of the dangers of unchecked diabetes. Everyone should take time to be checked yearly, to see if they are diabetic, or pre-diabetic.
The Diabetes Club of Fox Valley is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, with 46 dedicated individuals, who want to provide an awareness of diabetes, and provide aid and education for diabetics, along with investing in research to find a cure.
The Diabetes Club of Fox Valley will participate in Aurora’s Fourth of July activities, National Night Out, and the Stolp Island BlockParty.
The members are looking forward to their “Kane County Cougars Diabetes Awareness Fundraiser” with fireworks, Saturday, Aug. 5, at Northwestern Medicine Field, Kirk Road, Geneva. First pitch will be at 6:30 p.m.. For tickets, contact Jenny McCain, 630-204-1197, $15 per person.
The Diabetes Club of Fox Valley will end its Summer activities Friday, Sept. 1, at Fox Bend Golf Course with, “Tee Off to Defeat Diabetes Golf Outing.” Registration/lunch 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.; shotgun start at 1 p.m. and $130 per golfer includes: Hot dog lunch, golf and cart, plus dinner and goody bag.

Want to join our fight against diabetes? The Diabetes Club of Fox Valley is offering membership in the Club through September 30, for $25. to give individuals interested in joining our fight against diabetes an opportunity to look us over, while participating in Club activities throughout the Summer months. Yearly $50 individual membership dues will begin October 1. Corporate dues are $150 per year, which includes a sponsorship listing on our website: www.diabeteshelpnearme.com.
