Members of the Diabetes Club of Fox Valley held their fourth annual “Tee Off to Defeat Diabetes” Golf Outing, Saturday, June 6, at Bliss Creek Golf Course, 1 Golf View Road, in Sugar Grove.
With rain in the forecast and temperatures expected to be in the high eighties, golfers were ready to tee off at 1 p.m..
When the golfers completed their rounds, the banquet began. Hungry golfers, club members and guests enjoyed a delicious steak dinner, with all the trimmings.
Following dinner, golf co-chair, Matt McCain, announced the winners for: Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin, and Top Team was Spartan Ale House.
The basket and door prize drawings organized by Jenny McCain, golf co-chair, provided over 50 opportunities to go home a winner!
President, Russ George, thanked everyone in attendance, including the club’s golf committee co-chairs, Jenny and Matt McCain, and all the club members who helped make this year’s golf outing a successful event. He also thanked Jason Crane from The Voice for helping to promote our golf outing, along with a shoutout of thanks to Bliss Creek Golf Course and all the golfers for supporting our golf outing.
