Dr. Robert Renteria, below, offers remarks as the guest speaker Monday, Nov. 21 at the Aurora Alive Center in downtown Aurora with a focus on youth who can be provided positive leadership. The Youth Advisory Committee of the Illinois House of Representatives with Barbara Hernandez, held a dinner, a Friendsgiving, prior to the discussion. Games were played in a cohesive evening. In addition to leading a discussion, Dr. Renteria signed his books, From the Barrio, which offers his experiences in eventually finding the correct path in growing up in the Barrio in Los Angeles.
