By what and how you have been influenced will show\
In certain habits and demeanor as you grow
Into your own adulthood; nothing having had
More influence, in many ways, than your Dad!
Father’s Day, therefore, should not be shoved aside,
As being “no big deal,” but gladly viewed with pride;
Assuming that you like yourself, (at least, a bit),
For sure, your father had a lot to do with it.
But know—this day does not compete with Mother’s Day;
Your father’s not an “also ran” in any way.
Without BOTH of your parents, you would not be here;
So make this day HIS day, and do so with some cheer!
