Poem: For Goodness Sake

How many are tradition bound so much
That deviating from it would have a frantic touch?
You know how Spring brings out a newness all around,
And you are quick to cite the pleasure you have found.

But how about yourself, the way you think and feel.
Does Spring itself sink in, its freshness, Oh, so real.
May I suggest each season begs an attitude;
An attitude which fits the season, like a mood.

A pleasant mood will be no stranger to a smile;
And you will like how you are feeling, all the while.
Of course, the Bottom Line to all of this is you;
You’ll want all those around you to be pleasant too.
