Former mayor of Aurora, Tom Weisner, was placed in hospice care Wednesday, Dec. 26, according to reports. He has been in a battle with cancer most of his three terms as mayor. He was resting after the placement in hospice care. Treatment has been ongoing.
Wesiner was mayor of Aurora for 11 years, from 2005 to 2016. He left office prior to the end of his term to continue treatment and preserve his strength.
Family members are with him in the trying set of circumstances. They encourage positive thoughts and prayers.
