Montgomery-based Fox Valley Habitat for Humanity will raffle a 1967 Chevrolet in a benefit for the housing ministry.

Barbara Zegiel, Habitat coordinator of funds, said the blue classic was donated by an anonymous man “…who wants us to raise money for the new ReStore. Habitat will open a ReStore, a resale store specializing in new and gently-used home goods, September 25 at 2302 W. Indian Trail in Aurora.

According to Zegiel, raffle tickets for the car are $100. Four hundred tickets are available through September 25. July 24, The winning ticket for the Camaro will be drawn at 11 a.m. September 25, during a grand opening for the ReStore.

According to Zegiel, donations are needed to stock the ReStore. Donations can be dropped off Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.. Porch or garage pickup of donations is available Tuesdays and Thursdays. Call 630-206-5038.

Donors will receive a 50% off coupon for one item in the store.

Habitat’s home project, a duplex sponsored by Aurora area realtors and others, is under way at 829-831 Grove Street in Aurora.

In addition to offices at Genesis in Montgomery, Habitat maintains a warehouse at 250 S. Highland Avenue in Aurora.
