Women’s Power Lunch Sept. 20
Every year I am proud to be part of the committee that presents the annual Women’s Power Lunch. This year we are celebrating 10 years of this wonderful event, and I hope everyone can make it. This year, the luncheon will be Thursday, Sept. 20 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Pipers Banquet Hall on Butterfield Road in Aurora.
Our keynote speaker will be Dr. Sonat Birnecker, who is the owner of KOVAL Distillery in Chicago. Her story of beginning her business and making important life-altering decisions will be inspirational.

Sponsors needed: Walk for Hope
Mutual Ground’s 11th Annual Walk for Hope will be held Sunday, Oct. 14 at Blackberry Farm in Aurora. This event raises a significant amount of Mutual Ground’s budget and enables the agency to provide domestic violence and sexual assault services to the community completely free of charge.

Craft vendors needed for Fall Festival
The DuPage Care Center is seeking craft vendors for the 51st annual Fall Festival to be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15 in the Center’s west parking lot.
The Festival will have many features, including a classic car show, a resident craft sale, children’s games, garage sale, book fair, live music, flea market, and the popular craft sale. The family-friendly event is a benefit for the Care Center’s Resident Recreation Fund, which helps to provide residents with quality of life programs and services.
