Thanksgiving dinner in Plano Nov. 8
A complete turkey supper with all the trimmings will be available from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8 at Plano United Methodist Church, Hale and Clark Streets, in Plano. Food will be served at 5 p.m. with seating or carry outs. Dinner will consist of turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry salad, green beans, dinner roll, and homemade pie. Donations are accepted as a free-will offering basis with profits, after expenses, will go to Kendall County Community Food Pantry, Mutual Ground, and Plano Police Department for their Shop with a Cop project.

Pancake breakfast Oct. 27 in Aurora
Aurora’s Noon Lions Club will hold a pancake breakfast fundraiser from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at Luigi’s Pizza and Fun Center, 732 Prairie Street in Aurora.
The menu includes all-you-can-eat pancakes, sausage, mini donuts, orange juice, and coffee or milk.
Tickets are $6 for adults, $4 for children three to 12 years old, and $25 for a family.

Naperville 5K Turkey Trot family fun
The Naperville Noon Lions will be host to its 21st annual 5K Turkey Trot Thanksgiving Day morning Thursday, Nov. 22, at 8 a.m.. It is a family-friendly, fun event that will begin at Naperville Central High School, 440 Aurora Avenue, in Naperville. Running strollers can be used for children. Registration is available only at napervilleturkeytrot.com. All proceeds from this event will go to support individuals who have low vision and are blind and cannot afford necessary services.
