Fox Valley Habitat 5B’s dinner April 27
Those in attendance can treat their families to dinner from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, April 27 p.m. with 5B’s BBQ. It will be held in the parking lot at Oswego Presbyterian Church, 1976 Route 25 in Oswego. 5B’s will serve pork chop and chicken dinners. Tickets are available in advance for $13 at the office of Fox Valley Habitat or at Oswego Presbyterian. The dinners will cost $15 Saturday, April 27.
All proceeds will go to Fox Valley Habitat for Humanity 2019 Faith Build and matched dollar-for-dollar by Thrivent Financial.

Cosmo Club wine-tasting April 26
Cosmopolitan Club of Aurora, the Club that fights Diabetes, invites everyone to its eighth annual Wine Tasting Fundraiser to start at 6:30 p.m. Friday April 26 at Fox Valley Winery, 5600 Route 34, Oswego.
Admission is $30 and includes five wine tastes and hors d’oeuvres.
There will be a raffle of four Cubs tickets, 50/50 drawing, and unique basket raffles.
Proceeds will help research for a cure for diabetes-related charities.

Silver Streak AHS Fundraiser
The Aurora Historical Society (AHS) will be host to its Spring Fundraiser, “From the Roundhouse to the Silver Screen” from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, April 28 at Two Brothers Roundhouse, 205 N Broadway, Aurora.
At the event we will celebrate 170 years of Burlington Railroad history, and tip our hats to the glistening streak of pure speed that was the Pioneer Zephyr, the world’s first streamlined train that broke records with every mile on its historic 13-hour run in 1934. Drinks, short lecture, buffet supper, and the classic 1934 film “Silver Streak” will cost $65 per person, members $60.
