Pancake breakfast at Montgomery FD
Montgomery and Countryside Fire Protection District will hold its annual pancake breakfast fundraiser from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, June 9.
The breakfast will be held at department headquarters, 198 S. Railroad Street in Montgomery.
The public is invited.
The menu will include pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausages, milk, coffee, and orange juice.
Tickets are $5 for children and adults. Children under five will eat for free.
Raffle tickets are $2 each.
Fire trucks will be on display for inspection.

Kendall steak salute June 21
The Kendall County Salute to Veterans shows its appreciation for all veterans and active duty military by treating them to free steak dinners, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday June 21, at the Kendall County Fairgrounds, 10826 State Route 71 Yorkville. Dinner will be served until 7:30 p.m. and include a Wartime Sweethearts Review and a 1960s medley. It will be an evening of fun, patriotism, and appreciation for those who interrupted their lives to serve our country.
Tickets for non-military are $30 at the door. Profits will go to the Kendall County VAC for emergency requests and to aid other veterans’ causes in our area. Call 630-272-0686 for more information.

Olivia Ports Band at Arcada June 30
The Olivia Ports Band will present Dreams & Wishes: A Make-A-Wish fundraiser at the Arcada Theatre in St. Charles at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 30. Ticket sales will be donated to Make-A-Wish to further their mission of granting wishes to children with critical illnesses. Tickets are on sale now at arcadalive.com.
