The Batavia Chamber of Commerce celebrated Goosehead Insurance Joe Kosner Agency with a joint ribbon cutting ceremony Wednesday, Aug. 25 along with the Geneva Chamber of Commerce. Owner Joe Kosner is a longtime insurance professional and Batavia Chamber member. COVID-19 and construction prevented our holding this celebration when Joe changed affiliations and moved to 223 S. Batavia Avenue, Suite 201 in Batavia in early 2020.

Batavia mayor Jeffery Schielke presided over the celebration with agency owner Joe Kosner and his wife Shelli. Among the well-wishers were Geneva Mayor Kevin Burns, Margaret Perreault, president and CEO of the Batavia Chamber; Patti Anselme, Batavia Chamber events coordinator, Shirley Mott, Batavia Chamber communications and membership coordinator; and Robyn Chione, Geneva Chamber membership director. Other Geneva Chamber staff, Batavia Chamber ambassadors and other business owners were also present. Attendees received a tour of 223 S. Batavia Avenue, which was built circa 1920 and is the largest Sears catalog house offered.
