A habitat restoration work day will be held at Bliss Woods Forest Preserve from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 30. Seed collecting and dispersal will be the focus, however, some invasive shrub removal may take place. Tools are provided, but feel free to bring your favorite loppers and hand-cutters.
Bliss Woods is a beautiful, high-quality woodland host to many unusual plants. Removing invasive species will help sustain its unique nature.
Please wear sturdy shoes, long pants and long sleeves. We will meet in the main parking lot at Bliss Woods Forest Preserve on Bliss Road in Sugar Grove.
Refreshments will be available at the break. Anyone under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. For further information please E-mail to Mary Ochsenschlager at maryoxie@sbcglobal.net, or, call Robb at the Kane County Forest Preserve at 630 232-5980.
