A 14- year-old boy found Wednesday wandering the streets in Newport, Kentucky says he is Timmothy Pitzen, missing from Aurora since 2011.
Wednesday morning, the Aurora Police Department sent two detectives to the Cincinnati area to assist the FBI office there to check on a missing person tip. Detectives working with the FBI have confirmed that the person of interest is Timmothy Pitzen, who was reported missing from Aurora in 2011. Since the time of Timmothy’s disappearance, the Aurora Police Department has received a number of tips regarding the Pitzen case, and have diligently followed up on each one.
DNA testing results could take 24 hours.
