Immigration forum in Aurora Jan. 11, 2022

The League of Women Voters (LWV) Aurora Area will hold an immigration forum at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2022 at the Aurora Public Library District (APLD) Santori, 101 S. River Street. We’ll be live-streaming it on our Facebook site. Here are the details. Please know that the program title and the forum questions were decided on by an ethnically- and culturally-diverse group within our organization. The program Immigration: Why Don’t They Come Here the Right Way?, will explore the extremely complicated immigration system that those who want to come to our country encounter. It will take place at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2022, Santori Library /Facebook live stream (League of Women Voters Aurora Area, Illinois) It will address the issues that immigrants face on a daily basis due to our broken immigration system.

Panel will consist of Linnea Windel, VNA Healthcare; Jenny Grobeleski attorney, Justice for Our Neighbors; Beatriz Rose, executive director, Family Focus Aurora.
