According to Nascar, Chicagoland Speedway will not be host to the Cup Series this season originally scheduled for June 18-21.
A request has been made to the Joliet planning commission by Hillwood Investment Properties to subdivide a portion of the Speedway Property. The request has been made to Chicagoland Speedway LLC to purchase 82.3 acres to use for warehousing.
There will be a meeting in Joliet ,July 16, to discuss this matter. Chicagoland Speedway LLC would continue to own the track and remainder of the property.
