Illinois State representative Stephanie Kifowit will offer a free recycle and shred day Saturday, June 27 from 9 a.m. to noon at Kifowit’s office parking lot, 1677 Montgomery Rd., Aurora.
Three garbage bags or two banker boxes will be accepted for paper shredding until a truck reaches capacity.
Accepted for electronics recycling will be computer towers, microwave ovens, DVD players, VCRs, video-game consoles, printers, cables, receivers, and fax machines. Computer monitors and TVs will not be accepted.
Patrons should remain in their vehicles The event will take place rain or shine. Used eyeglasses and cell phones will be accepted for recycling.
