Construction and upgrades to convert three Oswego well sites into Lake Michigan water receiving stations is expected to begin this spring and progress east.

WaterLink, in partnership with the DuPage Water Commission, is constructing a 30-mile pipeline to expand Lake Michigan water service to Oswego, the Village of Montgomery, and the United City of Yorkville.

Work in Oswego will include a new pumping station and one-million-gallon storage tank at Ogden Falls, along with retrofitting existing well houses at wells 10 and 11. The DuPage Water Commission will also install meter stations at each site, with that portion of construction planned for 2026–2027.

Additionally the Main Street Water Main Project will replace and instal water main infrastructure this spring and continue through August 2027, due to the size and complexity of the project. Detours will be required. Residents are encouraged to watch for posted signage and project updates.
