Members from American Legion Riders Post 181 in Sandwich and Open Roads ABATE Chapter planned a bike ride July 22 with The Crooked Roof in Lanark, Chesty P’s in Polo, Happy Joe’s Pizza in Galena, and Iron Horse Saloon in Savanna, Illinois. These businesses were stops in the 2018 Open Roads ABATE Chapter Summer Book Run where those individuals with books got their books stamped.
The day was cool and cloudy, but consisted of a great ride and enjoyed the hospitality of all four stops, touring Iron Horse Saloon, being with friends, taking in the sights at Savanna, visiting Frank Fritz’s Finds from “American Pickers”, and having a great meal at The Crooked Roof in Lanark.
