• Batavia Environmental Commission cleanups: The Batavia Environmental Commission will have two events in September to help remove invasive species, plant native species, and to beautify the landscape.
• Fabyan Woods South restoration workday will be from 9 a.m. to noon Sunday, Sept. 16. There will be something for every ability level from picking up trash, pulling invasive species, to cutting down trees. The site is in Batavia at the corner of Route 25 and Fabyan, just south of the bridge and along the river trail.
• The Batavia High School Natural area workday will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23 at the Batavia High School, 1201 Main Street, Batavia. The new natural area on Batavia High School’s campus will be worked on to wrap up projects from the student plantings and trail work. Please wear work clothes and please bring gardening tools.
