• Styrofoam Recycling: Kane County Division of Environmental Resources reminds everyone that no city recycling program in Kane County can recycle No. 6 plastic or polystyrene. DART Container Corporation, 310 Evergreen Drive, North Aurora, will accept polystyrene blocks and clean food containers. Items that are not accepted are straws, cup lids, or packing peanuts. The recycling drop-off is open 24/7. Styrofoam peanuts and packing material are accepted at UPS stores, which will reuse clean, bagged, and unmixed foam peanuts.
• Kane County’s Recycling collection event: The Kane County Electronics Recycling Program has two daily drop-offs, 517 E. Fabyan Parkway in Batavia, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 900 Angle Tarn in West Dundee, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m..
