• Bliss Woods Forest Preserve restoration work day: A habitat restoration work day will be held at Bliss Woods Forest Preserve from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 30. Cutting invasive brush throughout the preserve will be the task for the day. Bliss Woods is a beautiful, high-quality woodland host to many unusual plants. Removing invasive species will help sustain its unique nature.

Please dress for the weather. Layering will allow you to shed clothes as you warm up. Warm boots and work gloves are especially important. If you have a favorite hand cutters or saw please bring them. We have tools for those who don’t. We will meet at the inside, main parking lot in the park. Enter off Bliss Road. Refreshments will be served.

Anyone under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. For more information please send to Mary Ochsenschlager at maryoxie@sbcglobal.net or call Robb at the Kane County Forest Preserve at 630 232-5980.
