In Aurora, The Venue surprised concert-goers recently with a live rooftop performance of The Beatles “Get Back” album. The live music space took months to plan the surprise, which occurred Friday, June 2 during their anniversary celebration. The Venue is celebrating four years at 21 S. Broadway in Aurora. They succeeded in surprising the audience of more than 200 at the ticketed Fab Fourth Birthday Bash. The live rooftop footage was projected on the exterior wall so the audience could view the concert while the band led by musician Scott Tipping performed on the roof. The Venue is run by nonprofit Fox Valley Music Foundation. The surprise was a longtime dream of executive director Melissa Mercado.
