John Ross, president of Kiwanis Club of Aurora, presents a Kiwanis coffee mug to Cathy Ferrel, Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry’s East Pantry coordinator at the Kiwanis meeting Tuesday at the Prisco Center. She shared information about the recently-formed community pantry at East Aurora High School. The Student Food Days Fall schedule will be the first and third Thursdays, September through December. Food for the general public is Saturdays 9 a.m to 11 a.m.. First-time clients must register with photo identification. Volunteers can call Cathy Ferrel at 630-846-0460. Marie Wilkinson was a lifetime social and civil rights activist who fought against poverty, hunger, homelessness, joblessness, and injustice.
