Marmion Academy’s Flannigan Rifles four man tandem drill team demonstrates its skills at the Kiwanis Club of Aurora meeting Tuesday at the Prisco Center in Aurora. Marmion Academy is a Catholic-Benedictine college preparatory high school for young men. The Marmion drill team, in its 71st year, officially was formed in September 1947 by Technical Sergeant Earl K. Buchan. The team performed its first public exhibition December 10, 1948 in Aurora. February 2019, Marmion Academy’s Flannigan Rifles JROTC Military Drill Team will be host to the annual Colonel Earl K. Buchan Invitational Drill Meet. Jason Crane/The Voice
