Mary Ann Ackley, 66, of Aurora, IL passed away on July 5, 2016. She was born January 30, 1950 in Sandwich, Illinois, the daughter of Herbert and Frances (McInturf) Klatt. She married George Ackley on December 13, 1969.
She was formerly employed at Associate of Individual Development – Keeler Center in Aurora currently known as AID, where she worked with her daughter, Wendy, and many other clients through the years and later became the secretary. Her greatest joy in life was working with the Keeler Center clients and friends. She enjoyed antiques and collecting Coca Cola and Cow memorabilia.
Mary Ann is survived by her husband of 46 years, George; 1 daughter, Wendy Ackley; and 1 son, Jeff Ackley; very special and dear friend, Marci Quintanilla; 2 grandsons, Wyatt and Virgil; 4 brothers, Robert (Donalee) Klatt of DeKalb, Tom (Karen) Klatt of Bristol, Jerry (Barb) Klatt of Mendota and Terry (Susan) Klatt of Bolingbrook; and many caregivers and nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Richard Klatt.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 8, 2016 at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave., Montgomery, IL. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 9, 2016 at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
